ROLE BRIEF

We’re looking for a VP Propositions & Marketing who will report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal role in the future of our company. As our VP of Propositions, you will be responsible for initiating, authoring and delivering the medium term customer propositions strategy including Mental Health, Wellbeing and Digital Health Propositions. You will incorporate Customer insight across our Insurance, Education and Workplace sectors. And deliver breakthrough propositions with the ability to evaluate the commercial viability of new concepts and manage them through to launch, as well as a strong understanding of marketing principles to lead the Marketing team and work in collaboration with the Commercial and Operations teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set the strategic direction and create the overarching propositions strategy for the Insurance, Education and Workplace business across all to drive sustainable, profitable growth.

• Use insight to get a deep understanding of the needs and wants of our Customers and develop motivating headline propositions to demonstrate how Spectrum Life can address their Mental Health, Wellbeing and Digital Health needs.

• Own the proposition development pipeline including the application of prioritisation principles and alignment to the proposition delivery roadmap.

• Work closely and collaboratively with the R&D, Tech, Clinical and Commercial Teams to deliver the propositions pipeline.

• Hold Executive responsibility for lifecycle management from concept to launch of propositions and updates, and communicate with C-level staff, board members, and other internal and external stakeholders.

• Lead on all aspects of the business case creation for each new proposition and gain buy-in from the appropriate forums for approval, funding and change resources.

• Lead the Marketing team to assess product mix and marketing strategy and monitor and collaborate on strategic marketing plans for each proposition.

• Design a comprehensive strategy to drive sustainable, scalable, marketing-led growth for the company

• Define pricing and competitive positioning for each product.

• Provide Proposition expertise and leadership on key strategic business projects and actively be the voice of the customer within these.

• Become the key evangelist of our propositions and participate in press activities, conferences, discussions with thought leaders and market analysts.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Background in Digital Health and/or Insurance

• 5+ years of experience as a Proposition or Product leader

• Strong commercial background and experience of building investment cases that drive optimum business and customer outcomes

• Able to formulate and implement global strategies for products and propositions

• Customer-centric mindset with the capability of translating that into the product development process

• Successfully implemented data-driven processes to turn a vision into an actionable roadmap

• People leader with demonstrated success in leading and mentoring teams

• Strong skills in building trusting and productive relationships within matrix style organisations with the demonstrable ability to work influentially with senior stakeholders both internal and external

• Strong project management skills and attention to detail

• Ability to understand the user and Customer experience and design in depth

• Able to distill product roadmaps into digestible and relevant presentations to key customers and partners

• Broad experience of using Customer insight and segmentation to develop Customer centric propositions that drive a step change in business performance, customer experience and advocacy. And drive product analytics to understand feature usage, comprehension, and optimization

• Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
