ROLE BRIEF
We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller / Finance Assistant to join our ever-growing team at Spectrum.Life. As a market leader in corporate wellbeing with exciting plans to expand we are seeking talented individuals to go on that journey with us, reporting to the Financial Operations Manager but with direct access to CFO level as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Credit control for all overdue invoices (typically on 30-45 day terms). Range from €100’s-€100k. Up to c300 customers that require some form of chasing.
- Credit control for both ROI and UK debt books.
- Work to ensure credit collection processes are optimised for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist financial operations manager, as required, with collection of large enterprise debts (typically > €50k).
- Assist billing manager to ensure identified collection issues are dealt with at source e.g. if collection delayed because sales agent didn’t get a PO, that any repeating trends (type of issue or non-compliant sales person) are called out and escalated.
- Work with service delivery teams to pause / terminate client services (if appropriate)
- Work with 3rd party legal collections agent to transfer old / problem debts where internal efforts have exhausted and debt may be suitable for legal action.
- Support Head of Finance with month end reconciliations processes of relevant balance sheet accounts
- Support other finance initiatives / projects as may be reasonably be requested e.g. amendments to finance system and processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years’ relevant experience
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Suitable personality to credit control i.e. tough but professional so customer / internal relationships maintained
- Process orientated.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict reporting deadline.
